XXXTENTACION Unreleased Songs: Scrapped Tapes & Every Era

XXXTENTACION released music for only about five years, and most of it first appeared on SoundCloud — EPs that went up and came down, tapes announced and then abandoned. Then came the albums, and after his death, the albums assembled from what he left. On unreleased.world his vault holds 234 unreleased tracks across 22 projects and 22 eras, counted live from the catalogue. This guide takes it era by era; to listen, you can open the XXXTENTACION tracker on unreleased.world.

Who was XXXTENTACION?

XXXTENTACION — Jahseh Onfroy — was a Florida rapper who built his audience on SoundCloud, where “Look at Me!” became his breakout. His debut album 17 came out in 2017, and ? debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in March 2018. He was killed in June 2018, at 20. The albums since — SKINS (2018) and Bad Vibes Forever (2019) — were put together from his recordings. With Ski Mask the Slump God he also started the Members Only collective, whose tapes run through the middle of the vault.

Why XXXTENTACION's vault looks the way it does

Two things shape it. The early years were a stream of short SoundCloud projects, many of them scrapped, deleted or never finished, so the tracker's first eras list many songs that have never resurfaced at all. And the posthumous albums were drawn from a much larger pile of sessions, so their eras hold far more than the records. In all, the community tracker lists 462 songs and versions.

The eras worth knowing

The SoundCloud years: from CD Mixtape to Red Light District

The tracker starts with CD Mixtape, the earliest project it knows of, and moves through a run of short EPs — Ice Hotel (2 tracks), The Fall (6 tracks), and the scrapped Red Light District (4 tracks) among them. These are the rarest eras in the vault: the tracker lists far more songs from them than have ever been found, so each one that turns up is news.

Members Only and the 2016 projects

Members Only Vol. 1 (6 tracks) and Members Only Vol. 2 (9 tracks) are the collective's first tapes. After them come the projects of 2016 that never came out as planned: KIDS (10 tracks), ItWillAllBeOverSoon, and the first Bad Vibes Forever — an album he announced in 2016, years before the posthumous record took the name. The tracker counts 27 songs and versions in that first era alone.

17, A GHETTO CHRISTMAS CAROL and ?

The album years: Members Only Vol. 3 (11 tracks), 17 (11 tracks), the scrapped UGLY EP and A GHETTO CHRISTMAS CAROL (12 tracks). The ? era is one of the deepest on the tracker, at 59 songs and versions from the months around the 2018 album.

SKINS, Bad Vibes Forever and LOOK AT ME

The posthumous eras hold the most files that have actually surfaced: SKINS (33 tracks) and LOOK AT ME: THE ALBUM (34 tracks) are both here, and the tracker counts 50 songs and versions for the 2019 Bad Vibes Forever album. Many of them are OG files — the original sessions rather than recordings of a stream. The newest additions below show what arrived most recently.

How to stream XXXTENTACION's unreleased songs

The XXXTENTACION page has every era above, organised the way the tracker files them, and each project has its own page with the full tracklist. Pick one and press play — streaming is free with an account. The glossary of leak terms explains what an OG file, a snippet and a version are.
