The band re-recorded the song and tried to make it sound more "live" with the arrangement & mix, but they still thought it sounded "a little dead". Producer Matt Wallace had the idea to add crowd noise to make it literally sound "live". They initially didn't like the idea, but once it was finished, they loved the result.
