Immediately after Kanye released The Life of Pablo, he announced a whole new album titled Turbo Grafx 16, intended to be released in the summer of 2016. Kanye intended to pursue a futuristic sound, wanting to incorporate video game samples into the record. However, work on the album was short-lived, as Kanye began touring in August 2016 and scrapped the concept entirely after being diagnosed as bipolar.
