In April 2001, after Training Day wrapped filming, it was revealed that Dr. Dre would be working with director Felix Gary Gray for his movie "A Man Apart" (then titled Diablo) to produce an OST. The soundtrack was going to have appearances from Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Hittman, Nate Dogg and Dre himself. The movie eventually came out in April 2003 to negative reviews and performed poorly. The original title of the film "Diablo" was changed due to a lawsuit by Blizzard Entertainment that was filed against New Line Cinema (who was publishing the movie) claiming trademark infrigement because of their video game franchise of the same name. A court ruled in favor of Blizzard at first but, on appeal it was reversed. The films name still was changed though. It's likely the content of the Soundtrack was built around the original name and so was likely never released due to that or the poor reception of the film.
