Sometime in 2018, sessions for the next Tame Impala LP started. Kevin Parker originally wanted the album to release in March-April 2019, just before the band's performance in Coachella, but Kevin thought that the album was not finished back then, so he decided to delay the album to February 2020. The album recieved many positive reviews from music critics, mostly praising its more smoother, disco psychedelic sound.
