By Summer 2016, Nas collab album with Swizz Beatz had finished which was recorded in a week. By late 2016 Nas own album was 75 - 85% finished. Nas announced multiple times throughout 2017 that the album would drop that year. Even after NASIR dropped, Nas still said that the album would come out In 2018.
