The mixtape was created as a sort of companion piece to 'WZRD'. the rock album collaboration album with producer Dot Da Genius, as Cudi expressed that Wizard wouldn't be rap focused at all, and that fans of his rapping should stay tuned for 'A Man Named Scott' instead.
