After the release of BALLADS 1, Joji began working with more producers and even more writers, eventually leaving behind the lofi & trap sounds that Joji released at the start of his career. Lots of marketing was done for the rollout of Nectar, making the project memorable for many. The album was announced on April 17th, 2020, and was set for release on July 10th 2020.
