After renaming themselves from the SPC Entourage to simply SPC, the group members would tease a group mixtape throughout 2011 and 2012. Nechie teased a solo mixtape titled "The Sky is 6lue", which never came to fruition; Gunna teased a solo mixtape and uploaded several singles for it; these early mixtape songs would eventually be scrapped as the mixtape became Hard Body.
