Days of the New IV [V2] is the Days Of The New era Days of the New IV [V2] (2002) belongs to. It is the only project from this era on unreleased.world so far.
The second incarnation of Purple. In stark contrast to the other two circulating versions of the album, this version is entirely electric in the same style as Red. Most of these tracks were released on MySpace by Travis under the name the "Crimson EP". The electric material leaked was apparently the only material made with this style before the band decided to continue on with their acoustic oriented sound.
- Mid 2002The band begins re-recording tracks from V1 of the album in an electric style while also writing new tracks
- August 2002Travis states his intention to release a single + a b-side but the release is seemingly scrapped
- Late 2002The band scraps most electric material and goes back to the drawing board
